Phew! I hit 3M!

It wasn't pretty. My form was meh.

...I walked a little bit.

But I completed 3 miles in under 30 min so I'm feeling pretty great :-)

I have GOT to find a way to get out of my head when I'm running. I feel like I'm always making little bargains with myself. "Ok, run til the next .25 miles and then you can walk for a sec." I'm 100% sure my body could have ran this non-stop, but my brain made me take breaks. Something to look into.

Run in Maine

Gotta... break... 2 miles...

Stupidly ran this:
1) after drinking a ton yesterday
2) not having ANY water today
3) 40 minutes after a two-scoop ice cream cone from Shaine's of Maine (good stuff, but not pre-run)

Tomorrow - going for 3!! I have to.

Bullet Journal

So I'm trying to get LOTS of life stuff in order these days, and work is one area where I'm struggling. I've been on LifeHacker a lot recently, and I heard about a new system of note-taking and to-do management called Bullet Journal. It seemed super easy/effective, and my favorite part was that it utilized a moleskine graphed journal :-)

So far so good!

On Another Note...

A cool project I worked on this weekend :-) I've been doing lots of projects around the house and it's really fulfilling! Tomorrow this bad boy is getting a coat of paint.

Cleared 2M

Wow - it's scary that I have the Halfie on less than 2 months and this is my biggest accomplishment. However, it's the goal I set today and I did it :-)

I ran the "cool" new route I tried last week, but it wasn't as effective. Note to self - make sure you've eaten we'll the day you're running, and pick a route with minimal stops. I had to pause almost every block in the beginning cuz of lights/cars.

But I did it! :-)

Run, Dave! Run!

Not so impressive today. But I'm glad I got out there in my new sneakers :-)

1.5 Miler in New Terrain

Short post today:

I decided to run from my Dr's appointment to rehearsal tonight. I prepped by putting all my essentials in my iPhone armband, and then I just DID it (well, I ran my 1.5, stretched, and walked the rest of the way). It felt good to run in the city - will be doing it more often :-)
